I am trained as a clinical psychologist, and have over 20 years’ education and experience in counselling, psychology and mental health. My broad clinical interests and experiences have seen me over the years helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from very diverse backgrounds with a large range of issues. However, much of my professional life has been dedicated to advancing my knowledge and practice in one specific area; therapy and advocacy for people of diverse sexualities and genders.
Peer Supervision
TGDNB
Practitioners who work clinically with transgender, gender-diverse, and non-binary (TGDNB) adults and teens are welcome to attend an online group peer supervision that runs on a monthly basis.
This is a welcoming, supportive, respectful group with an emphasis on embracing diversity (including our own), supporting one another with related professional challenges, and sharing wisdom and resources for working effectively and ethically with TGDNB people.

29 NOV 2024
My love of shaping the knowledge and practice of other clinicians extends beyond supervision, to running trainings and workshops, presenting at conferences, guest lecturing, and my involvement in other professional development events. Not only do I find this role tremendously enriching both personally and professionally, but these occasions are also opportunities for the exchange of information and skills that ultimately benefit the people and communities I’m most invested in reaching.
Some of the topics I cover during these professional development events include :
Meeting Schedule
The online group usually meets from 10am-12pm (VIC time) on the last Friday of every month, with a few exceptions (no meetings in Jan and Dec, and adjustments to accommodate public holidays).
2024 meetings are scheduled for:
- Fri 23rd Feb
*Thu* 28th MarFri 26th AprFri 31st MayFri 28th Jun
Fri 26th JulFri 30th Aug*Thu* 26th SepFri 25th Oct- Fri 29th Nov
Meeting Format
The typical format is a general welcome and check-in with those attending, followed by two rounds of TGDNB-related cases/issues explored in detail. Each round is split into 20 mins of presentation followed by 20 mins of input/feedback/reflection from the group. This leaves 20-30 mins at the end for a facilitated but unstructured discussion.
Case presentation is voluntary (just let me know beforehand if you would like to present, so I can manage time), and the tone is kept informal, collegial, and low-pressure. Case presentations can be relating to WPATH assessments, formulation, treatment, other clinical issues, or something else related to your clinical work with this population.
